gary again

He is doing much better - they have given him drugs to kick his heart into a regular heart beat. They have decided that he has Post viral syndrome Pericarditis and tomorrow they are doing tests about the fluid around his heart, etc. He is sitting up, has more energy and we are all looking forward to going home, soon. I am glad you took him in (we tend to be fatally stupid when it comes to doctors). Keep him drugged till he gets better. Let me know when he gets home.

Thanks - He goes in at ten today for a "chemical" stress test - he's on Morphene and codene for the cough......so, he is finally resting.

He also is still on a drug to keep his heart rhythm stable and a high dose of Indisin (sp?) for the fluid around the heart.

I will keep you all posted and let you know when we all get home.

10:49 - We just spoke to two more doctors and the physician assistant - Gary just went for his chemical stress tests - on Morphine and Codeine......The Infectious disease specialist is going to order blood testing for Q-Disease (Q fever is a zoonotic disease caused by Coxiella burnetii, a species of bacteria that is distributed globally. In 1999, Q fever became a notifiable disease in the United States but reporting is not required in many other countries. Because the disease is underreported, scientists cannot reliably assess how many cases of Q fever have actually occurred worldwide. Many human infections are inapparent.)

They are looking for everything and anything - scrapping to make a diagnosis.

I will let you know when they do! I will feel better.

Love, Terri

The morphine and codeine sound good but the Q disease not so much.

Drugs are always good! The Q-Fever disease? Not so much. We feel like campers here, in the room. There is a pull-out bed, but I don't sleep much. Justin rented a hotel room and we take turns showering and cleaning up there. But we look pretty transit!
